What is the purpose of women's ministries?

What are the characteristics of women today?

What are the needs of these women?

Based on these needs, is our stated purpose complete? What, if any, changes do we need to make?

Based on the stated goals what should we strive for?

What strategies (steps) can be taken by women's ministries to met those goals and address those needs?

Where do you see yourself plugging in personally to work toward the purpose & goals of Women's Ministries?

If you already have this area in place in your church, plug in and get started. If you do not have a place to plug in

yet begin to work toward it by working with leadership to :
Form a council
Survey the women of your church regarding needs and how women's ministries can meet them.
Develop a statement of purpose & goals
Evaluate your current programs & ministry to & through women
in light of your stated purpose & goals.
Are they effective or ineffective?
Keep, change or drop them?
Add new ministry opportunities?

Think about:

Joining with other zone or area churches to accomplish your purpose.
Joining with community agencies to accomplish your purpose and goals and add
the Christian influence & presence to a program already in place.

How can District Women's Ministries come along side and encourage & assist you in your ministry?
