VERSE OF THE WEEK

1 How good and
   pleasant it is

   when brothers live
   together in unity!

2 It is like precious oil
   poured on the head,

   running down
   on the beard,

   running down
   on Aaron's beard,

   down upon the collar
   of his robes.

3 It is as if the dew
   of Hermon

   were falling
   on Mount Zion.

   For there the LORD
   bestows his blessing,

   even life forevermore.

Psalm 133:1-3 (NIV)

If simply by working hard we could achieve our dream, reach our goal, and accomplish our mission; most of us would be able to say; dreams realized, goals achieved, mission accomplished.  Yet the reality is not too many churches or individuals can make those claims.

Hard work is necessary.  Yet hard work alone is not the only need to enable us to claim, Mission Accomplished.

A key need is a well thought out and defined “strategy.”  Strategy is defined as, “the framework of choices that determine the nature and direction of an individual life or an organization.”  A well thought out strategy will help answer these questions:

  1. How far into the future will I look to plan and prepare for?
  2. Based on the best up to date information, what are the best assumptions I can make concerning the future and my life mission?
  3. What will be my fundamental virtues, values, and beliefs that I will live by?
  4. What are my strengths?
  5. What are my resources?

A well thought out strategy helps you develop the Action Plan that when implemented with hard work and consistent care with produce incredible results.

What is your strategy?

If you haven’t developed one let me encourage you to take time to reflect on your life through God’s Word.  Spend quality time in prayer seeking God’s will for you.  Research your strengths and resources.  Develop a life strategy under God’s anointing.  Implement the Action Plan and God will truly enable you to know the joy like that of the Apostle Paul who wrote, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  Philippians 4:13
